About the Role
This internship offers exposure to Strategy, Innovation, Business Process Reengineering, and Business Development teams at HarperCollins Publishers. You will explore the future of reading, AI's impact on publishing, and new distribution channels for books.
Responsibilities
- Identify top technology and consumer trends impacting the publishing business from a business and innovation perspective.
- Undertake ad hoc strategy and innovation projects, including workflow/process analysis for business improvements.
- Support various teams in analysis and reporting on ad hoc projects.
- Conduct ebook and audiobook sales analysis.
Requirements
- Must be available to work full-time in 2027 or 2028.
- Must be available to work 21 hours per week across 3 or 4 days, from February 8 to April 16, 2027.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- A passion for books is highly valued.
- Experience working with AI tools and an aptitude for innovating using AI.
- Ability to gather information and consolidate it into executive-level communication.
- Ability to use PowerPoint well, Excel proficiency and analytical skills, Word proficiency.
- Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis, and comfort reading and interpreting cross-tabular survey data.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
