About the Role

The Publicity Intern will work closely with experienced publicists to create and execute book launch campaigns across various genres and age groups. This role interfaces with internal departments and external partners, supporting authors in crafting successful launch strategies.

Responsibilities

• Perform general administrative duties, including processing mailings to media and booksellers and managing internal databases.
• Conduct media research across platforms like MuckRack, media outlets, and social media.
• Pull book assets from internal databases.
• Manage and create promotional materials such as press kits, media pitches, and thematic round-ups.
• Support publicists with select media outreach.
• Maintain accurate records of all publicity efforts, data entry of media, and event bookings.
• Help organize and manage author media and tour schedules.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings.
• Attend internal meetings and select off-site author events.

Requirements

• Must be available to work in the NYC office from Monday – Thursday for 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027.
• Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible.
