About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
- Maintain required documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
