About the Role

The Hotel Services team plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the hospital, ensuring all patient rooms, clinical areas, and shared spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. This role helps create a welcoming, calm, and hygienic environment where patients can focus on their recovery and visitors feel reassured. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be a key contributor to the overall patient experience, supporting care delivery and hospital operations through attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

Cleaning patient rooms, public areas, and staff spaces, ensuring every area is safe, tidy, and presentable.
Working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support the smooth running of the hospital.
Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
Maintaining clean and tidy communal areas for visitors.
Performing any tasks specifically assigned by the Supervisor or designee.
Attending mandatory training on an annual basis.

Requirements

Awareness of hygiene standards.
Passion for customer care.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
Ability to work under pressure with a flexible approach.
Comfortable working in a hospital environment and coming into contact with patients.
