About the Role
Lead the design and evolution of the enterprise-wide data landscape for an organisation heavily investing in its data capability. This senior strategic position involves shaping data architecture, defining standards, and ensuring a scalable, secure, and future-ready data platform. You will modernize data environments, design cloud solutions, and drive best practices in data governance, modeling, and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Define and develop the enterprise data architecture strategy.
- Design scalable data warehouse, lakehouse, and cloud data solutions.
- Establish data governance, quality, and architectural standards.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to align technology with business objectives.
- Lead architecture decisions across data platforms, integration, and analytics.
- Identify opportunities to simplify existing platforms while improving scalability and performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the wider data estate.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Enterprise Data Architecture or a similar strategic data leadership role.
- Strong background designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, and modern data architecture principles.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, governance, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience delivering large-scale data transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
