About the Role
Intermate is one of the largest social media and influencer agencies in the DACH region, developing social-first strategies, producing content in its own studios, collaborating closely with creators, and managing campaigns data-driven through its own technology. As part of SAMY, a global agency network for social media and creator marketing, we are networked with over 970 experts in 20 locations, offering international perspectives and projects in approximately 55 markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and animate video ads and social formats in After Effects, from typo animation to complex, multi-layered scenes, and edit them in Premiere Pro for advertising effectiveness.
- Combine filmed material with generated elements by performing tasks like cutting out, rotoscoping, tracking, and keying until the transition is seamless.
- Utilize generative tools where they enhance results or speed up processes, understanding their limitations regarding consistency across sequences, typography, and brand representation, and build the necessary workflows.
- Provide input to the team on new techniques, tools, and workflows, and demonstrate their application to colleagues.
- Collaborate closely with performance, creative, and production teams, and provide early feedback if a brief is not feasible or could be improved.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a Motion Designer at a senior level.
- Proficiency in After Effects, including complex animations, keyframing, expressions, and typo animation.
- Expertise in compositing, including rotoscoping, tracking, keying, and seamlessly integrating generated or filmed elements into footage.
- Proficient editing in Premiere Pro with a good sense of timing and dramaturgy for advertising formats.
- One to three real-world projects demonstrating the use of generative video or image tools or AI compositing workflows.
- Proactive engagement, knowledge sharing, and a drive to improve processes without waiting for assignments.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
