About the Role
BNY is a leading global financial services company seeking a Senior Vice President, ETF Product to join their ETF Services business. This role involves strategic product planning, managing product backlogs, and mentoring junior Product Owners within the ETF platform.
Responsibilities
- Contribute meaningfully to specs for major features within the ETF platform.
- Negotiate the implementation of current work and make trade-off decisions to launch product in a high-quality manner.
- Escalate issues to manager when necessary.
- Work with the team to make recommendations that deliver maximum value to the ETF ecosystem quickly.
- Efficiently assess the quality and readiness of a feature.
- Formulate business questions and identify data sources to inform decisions.
- Use low-fidelity tools to outline design approaches and translate them into higher-fidelity feature representations.
- Engage with users and utilize multiple sources to prioritize ETF roadmap decisions.
- Lead product management and strategy for large or complex projects within the ETF Services business.
- Understand the economics and demonstrate business acumen for the ETF investment vehicle.
- Leverage market knowledge to integrate regional demands and stay ahead of competitors.
- Develop ideas for new products, services, and technology to support the end-to-end workflow of an ETF.
- Independently manage the development, enhancement, profitability, and penetration of ETF-related products.
- Position capabilities for specific client types, highlighting key benefits and competitive advantages.
- Engage with Sales and Relationship Management to support business development opportunities.
- Perform demonstrations and develop user material for clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct ETF Services, ETF Product, ETF Capital Markets, or ETF AP Desk experience required.
- Minimum of 10 years of overall financial services experience strongly preferred.
