About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and organized leader to join our dedicated team and positively shape the daily lives of individuals requiring support. In our "Schrippenkirche" facility, we support 44 adults with cognitive impairments, empowering them towards maximum self-determination. We assist clients as equals, focusing on goal-oriented support, strong relationships, and high professional standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, create forward-thinking work schedules, and foster employee strengths.
Work in a 2-shift system with no night shifts.
Act as a hands-on team leader actively involved in daily educational activities, assisting clients with their needs and wishes in various life situations.
Support clients during crises, relapses, and in managing their impairments.
Develop our residential offerings in line with the Federal Participation Act (BTHG) and ensure documentation quality.
Serve as the liaison between the site management, social services, legal guardians, relatives, and physicians.
Manage the budget within your area of responsibility.
Collaborate closely with site management.

Requirements

Completed training as a Heilerziehungspfleger, Erzieher, or a degree in Social Work, Special Needs Education, or a comparable qualification.
Experience in integration assistance and team leadership is important.
Possess clear, empathetic communication, assertiveness, and maintain composure in challenging situations.
Understand and actively live the values of inclusion and participation daily.
An extended police clearance certificate is required within the first eight weeks of employment.

Salary/Compensations

Minimum €4,190.34 gross per month for full-time employment, based on the salary agreement of the Diakonie Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz (EG 8).
