About the Role
As a User Experience Researcher (UXR) at Google, you will gather insights and create industry-leading products by collaborating with Engineering and Product Management. You will play a critical role in understanding user needs and driving impact throughout product development, ensuring products are useful, usable, and helpful. You will explore user behaviors and motivations through primary research and grow within a supportive UXR community. As a Staff UXR Lead for XR Betas and Post-Launch Programs, you will define scaled user evaluation and lay the groundwork for a successful long-term approach to external NDA testing, public previews, and live market deployments across the Android XR ecosystem. You will orchestrate longitudinal testing at scale, gather extended real-world feedback, synthesize contextual usage, and conduct strategic in-market research to inform launch readiness and establish continuous sentiment tracking with external users. You will design comprehensive beta research programs for critical upcoming products and build the insights engine that sets the direction for Google's emerging XR devices. The XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR, reimagining how we interact with the world around us.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive beta research programs for critical upcoming products and establish a robust insights engine to drive tangible product improvements, quality measurement, and ongoing post-launch performance tracking.

- Lead deep-dive longitudinal studies and in-market explorations.
- Partner closely with key cross-functional partners (marketing, data science, etc.) to coordinate complex research initiatives.
- Serve as the accountable lead for triangulating multi-channel research data (including surveys, qualitative studies, and telemetry) into final executive readouts for XR leadership, ensuring pre-launch learnings and post-launch insights are continuously fed back into the product development cycle.
