About the Role
We are looking for product-focused Android engineers to evolve our native mobile app. You will take pride in building polished user experiences, balancing resilient code with fast iteration. Your work will shape how over 15 million people interact with their finances.
Responsibilities
- Work in a small, autonomous product squad alongside iOS Engineers, Backend Engineers, User Researchers, Product Designers, Product Managers, QA Testers, and Data Scientists.
- Be responsible for an overall company goal, rather than building a specific feature.
- Have impact on both what we build, and how we build it.
- Work on everything from the personal banking product to customer support tools.
- Contribute to the mobile platform squad enabling other engineers to move faster.
- Participate in weekly Android discipline meetings to discuss tools, techniques, and problems.
- Collaborate to improve our codebase and processes.
- Report to an engineering manager for regular 1:1s focused on growth and development.
Requirements
- Care about the impact your work has on customers and optimize for outcomes.
- Be excited about and have experience in programming in Kotlin.
- Have shipped and iterated on at least one app in the Play Store.
- Possess a product mindset, caring about customer outcomes and making data-informed decisions.
- Love turning excellent design into beautiful products.
- Be comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity.
- Have an understanding of computer science principles.

- We use GitHub Pull Requests for code reviews and employ various testing strategies including unit tests, snapshot tests, and Espresso tests executed via CI.
- Our interview process includes an initial call, a take-home task or pair coding exercise, and a final interview with system design and behavioral components, typically taking 2-3 weeks.
