About the Role
Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. This role involves designing and building high-visibility components and services, including a new policy evaluation platform and extending existing critical services within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities
- Work on large-scale architectural and reliability initiatives under authorization in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design, code reliably, and launch features.
- Participate in activities beyond coding: metrics, documentation, and operations.
- Drive projects and partnerships with cross-teams independently.
- Reduce technical, design or implementation ambiguity working with team leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience developing and maintaining software using C++.
- Experience designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems.
- Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with database query languages (e.g., SQL) and data modeling techniques.
