About the Role

As an M365 Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, further development, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 platform in a hybrid cloud environment. You will continuously administer and develop Microsoft 365 Services, Entra ID, Active Directory, and other platform services. You will analyze requirements from specialist departments and implement technical solutions considering security, compliance, and governance. You will automate recurring operational and administrative tasks using AI agents and other automation tools. You will support the operation, error analysis, and further development of hybrid Microsoft infrastructures. You will actively participate in the further development of our hybrid cloud and modern workplace strategy. The focus is on Power BI Platform & M365 Platform Services, including administration and further development of the Power BI tenant with governance and authorization management, supporting specialist departments with the deployment and operation of Power BI solutions, and managing and developing private networking solutions, especially in the context of frontend connections. You will also operate and administer self-hosted agents for automation and DevOps platforms and support the integration and operation of M365-related platform services.

Responsibilities

Operation, further development, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 platform in a hybrid cloud environment.
Administration and continuous development of Microsoft 365 Services, Entra ID, Active Directory, and other platform services.
Analysis of requirements from specialist departments and implementation of technical solutions considering security, compliance, and governance.
Automation of recurring operational and administrative tasks using AI agents and other automation tools.
Support for the operation, error analysis, and further development of hybrid Microsoft infrastructures.
Active participation in the further development of the hybrid cloud and modern workplace strategy.
Administration and further development of the Power BI tenant, including governance and authorization management.
Support for specialist departments in the deployment and operation of Power BI solutions.
Management and development of private networking solutions, particularly in the context of frontend connections.
Operation and administration of self-hosted agents for automation and DevOps platforms.
Support for the integration and operation of M365-related platform services.

Requirements

Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
Professional experience in the M365 environment, Power Platform, or with Databricks.
Experience in the focus area.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or Microsoft 365 services.
Experience with PowerShell and automation of administrative processes.
Knowledge in operating hybrid Microsoft infrastructures is an advantage.
Structured, self-reliant way of working.
Fluent German language skills at least at C1 level.
Good English language skills.
