About the Role
As an HR Specialist in the Employer of Record (EOR) industry, you will partner with clients on global expansion and workforce management, advising on complex HR matters across ANZ. You will own the full employee lifecycle, act as their trusted in-country HR expert, and ensure smooth operations, compliance, and growth. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR contact for onboarding, lifecycle events, and terminations to ensure a smooth and compliant employee experience across Australia, with requirement to support other regional markets (e.g., New Zealand / APAC) as needed
- Manage sensitive employee relations cases, attend calls or meetings, and draft legally sound documentation
- Build and manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR legal advisors
- Be the first point of contact for client queries on benefits, compliance, and workforce planning
- Stay ahead of labor laws and cultural nuances in ANZ to provide actionable guidance
- Review and advise on employment contracts and risk mitigation
- Guide clients through Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and ensure timely salary changes
- Act as SPOC for employees’ immigration/mobility needs in collaboration with the Global Mobility team
- Identify delegable tasks, document processes, and ensure smooth handover for efficiency
- Drive automation and AI adoption to streamline HR processes
- Drive and lead compliance governance projects across ANZ markets
- Lead efforts to standardize and improve HR practices globally
Requirements
- 3+ years of HR experience
- Deep expertise of labour laws and strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including Fair Work compliance, the application and interpretation of Modern Awards and practical experience managing WHS standards and Worker’s Compensation / Return to Work processes
- Experience supporting complex employee relations
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
