About the Role
We are seeking a Band 7 Biomedical Scientist specializing in Blood Transfusion to join a client’s team in Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.
Responsibilities
- Carry out blood grouping, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and issue blood components for transfusion.
- Ensure safe transfusion practices and regulatory compliance.
- Previous experience as a Senior in an NHS laboratory is essential.
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Familiarity with LIMS and transfusion analysers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- NHS experience (preferred)
