About the Role

As an Application Consultant, you will be the central point of contact for the support and further development of our SAP HCM landscape and related HR systems. Your focus will be on payroll, but you will also work on projects for the digitalization and optimization of HR processes, acting as a link between IT and HR and contributing your expertise to complex system landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the support and further development of the SAP HCM module, especially in the PY (Payroll) area.
  • You are responsible for the analysis, conception, and implementation of requirements from HR departments.
  • You will carry out customizing and coordinate developments.
  • You ensure legal and collective agreement requirements in payroll.
  • You will support month-end and year-end closing activities in SAP HCM.
  • You are responsible for 2nd level support and training of key users and end-users.
  • You actively participate in projects for the further development of the entire HR system landscape (e.g., interfaces, cloud solutions, self-service portals).

Requirements

  • Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration, or comparable qualification.
  • Sound professional experience in the SAP HCM module with a focus on Payroll (PY).
  • Relevant knowledge in mapping payroll processes, wage types, schemas, and rules.
  • Experience with adjacent modules such as PA, OM, or Time Management, and ideally knowledge of integrations with other HR systems.
  • Confident understanding of current legal requirements in the payroll area.
  • Analytical thinking, structured way of working, and high service orientation.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, and initiative.
  • Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Approximately 70 percent of the requirements are sufficient for application.
