About the Role

Lead technical delivery of diverse rail stations projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex problems and drive innovation while considering client requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and coordinate the technical aspects of multi-disciplinary station design projects.
Manage client and stakeholder relationships to achieve desired project outcomes.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of CDM and health and safety regulations, setting an example for Health Safety and Welfare and instilling a strong safety culture.
Represent WSP and lead design coordination activities such as IDR/IDC.
Undertake the CEM role in accordance with NR/L2/INI/02009.
Support Project and Design Managers in the technical delivery of Rail projects.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to aspiring engineering managers.

Requirements

Demonstrable multidisciplinary delivery experience.
Proven leaders with a track record of developing and maintaining Client relationships.
Experience in a client-facing environment.
Ability to apply innovation and advanced engineering techniques to progress contract solutions.
Experience undertaking the CEM and/or CRE roles.
Experience of multi-disciplinary projects within the context of a design organisation in the rail industry.
Ability to lead and coordinate a team of technical resources and specialisms.
Technical knowledge to challenge project teams and clients on outputs/deliverables and scope.
Understanding of Client Engineering assurance processes such as GRIP, PACE, Pathways etc.
Awareness of Network Rail standard construction details.
Experience of Network Rail standards.
Awareness of HS2, TfL and/or Crossrail standards is desirable.
