About the Role

To work as part of a team to ensure the continuous operation of the cement plant and associated facilities, maximizing operational efficiency in an environment of continuous learning and improvement. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment in accordance with MSHA and AMRIZE safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform all work according to MSHA and plant health and safety procedures and policies, prioritizing safety.
Perform mechanical maintenance work, including fabrication, assembly, welding, and cutting, to ensure safe, continuous, and efficient operations.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment using various mechanical tools and equipment.
Serve as a member of a Continuous Improvement Group to identify opportunities for improvement.
Troubleshoot potential concerns to achieve and maintain maximum productivity.
Report maintenance problems to the supervisor and participate in developing corrective and preventative maintenance plans.
Perform preventive/proactive inspections and document findings.
Maintain good housekeeping practices.
Operate mobile equipment as required.
Work rotating shifts to cover vacation for shift workers.

Requirements

Must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Frequently stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
Frequently walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions.
Occasionally sit.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; water related hazards; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but occasionally loud.
