About the Role
Reports to various supervisors, performing all duties in a work-safe manner, following plant safety rules, and working as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in Maintenance & Production functions.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform maintenance activities to ensure plant efficiency.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Prioritize safety, then quality, followed by production.
- Communicate effectively and timely with staff.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
- Maintain internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
- Work independently as a self-starter, yet be able to participate within a team environment.
- Operate equipment effectively.
- Understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have previous welding and cutting experience.
- Experience with haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of hardware/software.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
- Ability to perform operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
