About the Role
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, delivering exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, assessing system impacts, dependencies, and effort estimates.
- Select patterns that optimize scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Design and code React Native features using TypeScript, integrating native modules (Swift/Objective C, Kotlin/Java) and crafting reusable UI components.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Jest and Detox.
- Assist with build and release processes for App Store and Google Play, including release notes and staged rollouts.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features.
- Understand company vision and customer journeys to deliver mobile solutions.
- Implement secure storage, keychain/keystore usage, certificate pinning, auth flows, secure data handling, and privacy standards.
- Support accessibility requirements and collaborate with QA for compliance validation.
- Maintain automated build/test/deploy pipelines using Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Manage code signing, environment configurations, and artifacts.
- Use feature flags for safe releases, A/B testing, and incremental delivery.
- Implement telemetry to validate outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience (4+ years in mobile development).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
- Strong proficiency in React Native for cross-platform mobile development.
- Hands-on experience with native development tools (Android Studio, Xcode, VScode) and integrating native modules.
- Debugging skills with React Native dev tools.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6) and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, client-server architecture, and mobile/web design patterns.
- Experience releasing apps to App Store and Google Play, including basic compliance steps.
- Proficiency with source control tools (Git, TFS) and branching strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
- Ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and testable solutions.
- Skilled in conducting code reviews, enforcing standards, and fostering continuous improvement.
- Comfortable with Agile practices, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery.
- Experience with TypeScript, Redux/MobX, and React Navigation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and mobile analytics frameworks.
- Understanding of modern testing frameworks (Jest, Detox) and automated testing strategies.
