About the Role

The MeG Betreutes Wohnen gGmbH, founded in 2012, supports first-generation migrants with mental disabilities within the framework of integration assistance according to SGB IX in seven Berlin districts and in a mother-child facility according to SGB VIII in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen. The mother-child facility provides a therapeutic living community (24-hour intensive support) for seven mentally ill mothers and their children aged 0-6 for a maximum of two years, offering a differentiated pedagogical-therapeutic support system. This therapeutic living environment offers mothers and their children a safe space to build a strong relationship. We provide support with daily structuring, building social networks, administrative matters, and pursuing employment or education, in close cooperation with the youth welfare office and active networking with daycares, schools, pediatricians, child and adolescent therapists, and the child and adolescent psychiatric service. The mothers' conditions include post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, personality disorders, and severe anxiety disorders, sometimes associated with addiction problems. A significant portion of the mothers have experienced flight and are in ongoing asylum procedures. The specialized team in the mother-child facility is interdisciplinary, comprising social workers, educators, and a psychologist. Pedagogical-therapeutic support for the women is provided with the assistance of professional language and cultural mediators. Weekly team meetings, case discussions, and external supervision ensure the quality of care. We are seeking a Facility Manager for the mother-child facility team, starting December 1, 2026, for 30 hours/week (permanent position).
