About the Role

WSP has an opportunity for an experienced, client-facing Associate Director for their London office. The role requires a mechanical bias with a strong background in net zero carbon and sustainable design. You will work on exciting and prestigious projects, contributing to the reshaping of London's landscape and skyline as part of a close-knit MEP team.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality, industry-leading building designs.
  • Support and grow WSP’s net zero carbon strategy by delivering sustainable, low carbon buildings.
  • Share knowledge and technical skills with colleagues globally.
  • Build relationships with clients, developers, contractors, and architects.
  • Work in an environment that allows for initiative and provides support for delivering engineering solutions.
  • Supervise the completion of detailed designs and the work of others.
  • Act as the client's key point of contact.
  • Participate in the team’s day-to-day management, vision, values, and leadership.
  • Develop team spirit and cooperation.
  • Provide excellent client care and identify opportunities for business development.
  • Assist with developing client relationships to promote new commissions.

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical, sustainable buildings design, from concept to technical design stages.
  • Detailed understanding of operational energy calculations (TM54 / NABERS) and their application.
  • Working understanding of IES for work allocation and direction.
  • Understanding of working with Revit MEP or other 3D design software for work allocation and direction.
  • Chartership through CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council preferred or accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.
