About the Role
MoFo is seeking talented and ambitious attorneys for its Employment + Labor Group. This role focuses on providing high-level advice and counsel on employment law compliance, litigating complex disputes, conducting workplace investigations, and managing due diligence for corporate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-level advice and counsel to clients on a day-to-day basis on employment law compliance issues.
- Litigating trade secret/employee mobility, whistleblower (SOX, Dodd Frank), and defending companies in other high-stakes wrongful termination, employment discrimination and harassment and pay disputes.
- Defending companies in complex employment actions in state and federal court, including wage and hour, discrimination, and pay equity class, collective and representative actions.
- Conducting workplace investigations involving the C-suite and beyond.
- Conducting due diligence of potential employment law issues and areas of exposure in mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other corporate transactions.
- Negotiating executive employment, separation and similar agreements.
Requirements
- Top academic credentials.
- 4 – 6 years of experience in litigation.
- Strong writing and client relations skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage litigation on a day-to-day basis.
- Ability to draft and argue substantive briefs and motions.
- Ability to take and defend depositions with limited supervision.
- Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in.
- Trial experience (preferred but not required).
