About the Role
Help build the frameworks that support better risk decisions, stronger governance, and consistent risk management across HCF. This role shapes the foundations of risk management, ensuring frameworks are practical, effective, and fit for purpose by working across the business.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve policies, standards, procedures, and tools that support risk management.
- Ensure risk management expectations are clear, consistent, and aligned with regulatory requirements and strategic goals.
- Keep the Risk Framework current and effective by reviewing and enhancing framework artifacts.
- Coordinate stakeholder consultation and embed changes across the business.
- Improve how risk information is captured, managed, and reported for consistency across systems, processes, and risk practices.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve usability, and strengthen risk management capability.
Requirements
- Experience in risk management, governance, compliance, or a related discipline, preferably within financial services or another regulated environment.
- Experience supporting or maintaining risk management frameworks, policies, standards, or procedures within a regulated environment.
- Solid understanding of enterprise risk management, risk assessments, controls, governance, and risk appetite frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across a range of teams.
- Experience translating regulatory or risk requirements into practical guidance for the business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and practically.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a desire to make processes simpler, more effective, and easier to adopt.
