About the Role
Supervise the Property team to ensure all hotel facilities, including bedrooms, meeting rooms, restaurant, bar, and leisure areas, are maintained to high standards through planned maintenance and daily upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ensure departmental procedures are followed for repairs, maintenance, alterations, and installations.
- Ensure the high-quality implementation and utilization of technology platforms like Transcendent, RPM, and Energy data management.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors in the absence of the Property Manager.
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager to maximize assets, drive guest satisfaction, and support business performance.
- Manage centralized maintenance contracts to ensure compliance with Marriott standards and asset maximization.
- Foster a positive and proactive work environment.
- Manage safe working practices for contractors and co-workers.
- Organize workloads for team members.
- Assist department management in interviewing, selection, training, and counseling of new associates.
- Prioritize work schedules based on customer needs.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met and relevant areas are addressed.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Communicate with team leaders regarding maintenance repairs requiring action.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
- Comply with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in a supervisory role required.
- Previous experience in Hotel Property or service industry preferable.
- Qualified electrician or plumber desirable.
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
- Ability to lead and direct a team in a positive manner.
- Ability to direct other team members to work in a safe manner.
- Ability to communicate with other HOD’s and co-workers in meetings and presentations.
