About the Role
Catapult Learning is seeking a Student Support Coordinator to support schools by driving the Special Education process, ensuring every student has access to the support they need for academic success. This role involves advising school principals, collaborating with staff, and coordinating resources to meet the needs of students with exceptional needs.
Responsibilities
- Support students and families by navigating the IEP process from initial referral to service implementation.
- Partner with assigned schools to support strategic decisions and improve student outcomes.
- Provide quick and efficient support for students in the classroom.
- Collaborate with families to drive student success.
- Collaborate with regional personnel for the purpose of supporting students.
- Assist administrators in utilizing data to identify students needing academic interventions or specialized services.
- Provide leadership, support, and assistance to classroom teachers for skillful instruction.
- Conduct model lessons, classroom observations, and provide support for teachers.
- Participate in meetings, committees, in-services, and seminars to convey or gather information.
- Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions.
- Assist schools with identifying, planning, and undertaking appropriate 'next steps teaching' for groups of students.
- Maintain documentation of work with teachers using Catapult Learning's proprietary system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master’s Degree in Education or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of Curriculum programs
- At least three years experience as a Special Education teacher (or similar position)
- Job related experience in the evaluation process
- Practical experience in leadership and teacher coaching
- Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to establish priorities and work independently
- Advanced proficiencies with Microsoft Office suite, OneDrive, Zoom, etc.
