About the Role

This position is responsible for engineering tasks related to manufacturing processes and for planning and executing operations that impact the department. You will work within standardized functions and procedures, making judgments and decisions in collaboration with the project manager as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead the startup of new product manufacturing process introduction projects and manufacturing process introduction projects from other manufacturing sites as a production technology representative.
Technically lead process design, equipment introduction, layout design, and operational methods in collaboration with related departments such as design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Execute technical measures to meet regulatory requirements, quality, safety, environmental standards, and QMS.
Deepen expertise in specific technical fields and execute departmental policies and strategies by leveraging past experience and acquired technical knowledge.
Understand key business drivers and perform duties, grasping how your team's work collaborates with other teams and contributes to the overall department.
Collaborate with the department manager to provide informal guidance and support to team members.

Requirements

Possess a degree in engineering and have practical experience as a design engineer or manufacturing engineer (or equivalent practical experience of 5+ years with a high school diploma).
Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and inspection, and industrial engineering.
Be able to communicate smoothly in Japanese with internal stakeholders such as manufacturing sites and technical departments.
Possess basic communication skills in English at a level sufficient to execute manufacturing process transfers from other manufacturing sites.
