About the Role
Webuild, on behalf of Parklife Metro, is seeking an MEP Site Engineer to assist in providing project solutions for high/low voltage and communication infrastructure. This role supports the coordination of design, construction, and commissioning activities, and manages engineering staff and contractors to achieve project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed electrical power and control system designs, including CAD drafting, equipment specification, and project documentation.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOW) and design documentation for suppliers.
- Provide design inputs and reviews for other projects.
- Drive product roadmap and initiatives, and participate in technical design.
- Resolve systematic issues by providing short, medium, and long-term solutions.
- Provide technical support to the Electrical Senior Project Engineer in coordination meetings with clients, suppliers, and third parties.
- Provide technical support in defining interfaces related to Electrical systems with Civil Works, Rail Systems, Rolling Stock, O&M, and third parties.
- Assist the Procurement Team with technical queries during the bidding stage, providing feedback for technical alignment of market quotations.
- Follow up with subcontractors and manufacturers on the preparation and review of Material Submittals.
- Follow up with subcontractors and manufacturers on the preparation and review of Working Drawings.
- Follow up with subcontractors on the preparation and review of Design Change Requests (DCR), Final Cost Reports (FCR), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
- Follow up with subcontractors and manufacturers on the preparation and review of Test Procedures and Plans.
- Provide technical support in troubleshooting and problem-solving during Testing & Commissioning (T&C).
- Support planning the use of materials, resources, components, or systems to ensure project success, value for money, and best practices.
- Coordinate resource allocation, encouraging effective teamwork and fostering a positive attitude towards organizational objectives.
- Interface regularly with internal discipline leads and design teams.
Requirements
- Experience with MEP within the construction industry, preferably with a Tier 1 or 2 company.
