About the Role
Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) is seeking a Full Time RN for its London, Ohio location. This individual will assist providers with exams, blood draws, injections, referrals, patient education, and medication refills in a fast-paced yet manageable environment with supportive staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with exams
- Perform blood draws
- Administer injections
- Assist with referrals to specialists
- Provide patient education
- Manage medication refills
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Ohio
- CPR certification required
- Applicable life support training (PALS/ACLS) preferred
- Current driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Knowledge of Database software
- Demonstrate an understanding of the role of Federally Qualified Health Centers as a safety net
- Appreciate patient-centered care in a medical home
- Commitment to quality, comprehensive services through a team approach
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Understand privacy policies and procedures regarding Patient Health Information (PHI)
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel, and talk and hear
- Frequently required to walk
- Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands, arms, and smell
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Regular interaction with patients and the general public
- Work environment noise level is usually moderate
- Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues may occur
- Schedule is dependent upon organization and patient needs, and includes evenings and weekends
- May be sent home if demand is low, or be requested to work overtime when demand is high
