About the Role
As an RF Test Engineer, you will work with various RF diagnostic and testing tools to test and debug failures and defects in RF systems, serving as a Subject Matter Expert within the group. This role offers the opportunity to make impacts by supporting the testing and troubleshooting of complex electronic and RF circuit card assemblies, systems, and sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Support the testing, measuring, and troubleshooting of complex electronic and RF circuit card assemblies, systems, and sub-assemblies using specialized equipment to analyze signal strength, interference, and other relevant parameters.
- Troubleshoot and maintain test equipment to ensure ongoing functionality.
- Generate and review technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation.
- Monitor Quality data for trends and outliers and report regularly to the team.
- Generate and implement improvements in test design and develop methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve throughput.
- Create rework plans for test non-conformances.
- Interface with Engineering, Quality, and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause.
- Interface with governmental customers, auditors, and suppliers as required.
- Identify, Create, and Implement Engineering Change Orders on products as required.
- Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel.
- Assist in the support relocation of test equipment between manufacturing sites and lead transition to production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of overall engineering and manufacturing experience
- Experience using RF measurement and test equipment such as power meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Able to work cross-functionally within the operations organization and with other disciplines/functions
- Problem solving capabilities
- Experience using metrics and data to drive actions
- Proven track record of solving/troubleshooting complicated production issues and/or driving yield improvements
- Hands-on, component-level, RF debug experience
