About the Role
We are seeking an Application Engineer with a strong electric automation background to serve as a technical reference for customers. You will provide expert technical consultation and deliver competitive solutions for customer applications, driving business expansion by identifying opportunities and collaborating with the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert and consultant in electric automation, guiding customers to system conceptual solutions by combining technologies to meet requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies using sample setups, simulations, or calculations, and integrate application solutions into customer control environments.
- Implement complex motion tasks using electric drives.
- Provide end-to-end customer support, from pre-sales solution proposals to post-sales commissioning advisory (remote or onsite).
- Drive growth in Electric Automation by creating opportunities in focus customers through a paired approach with salespeople and leading electric automation account planning.
- Assist salespeople in determining appropriate pricing and conditions for solutions based on value.
- Organize training and workshops for internal and external stakeholders to enhance electric automation awareness and competency.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in factory automation application, including commissioning of PLCs, electrical drives, and motors.
- Proficiency in electric automation technologies: PLCs, Motion, Drives, Fieldbus systems (EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, etc.), PC-based programming languages, and selection of electric actuators.
- Programming experience with common PLC brands, preferably Siemens and OMRON.
- Knowledge and understanding of market players in electric automation, their product ranges, features, and unique selling points is a bonus.
