About the Role
The Finance & Accounting Division supports the sustainable growth of the Rakuten Group by securing optimal funding, managing investor relations, providing strategic financial support, and ensuring tax compliance. The Group Accounting Department is responsible for consolidated financial reporting, gathering and analyzing information for management decision-making, and supporting Group management through the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Consolidated Financial Results for the Rakuten Group (IFRS).
- Preparation of securities reports and other disclosure materials.
- Promotion of projects in connection with M&A and organizational restructuring.
- Improve and rebuild the Rakuten Group's accounting processes and systems.
Requirements
- Knowledge of accounting with bookkeeping level 2 or higher.
- At least 3 years of experience in a business company or professional firm.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as an organization.
- Be able to respond flexibly to changes.
- Knowledge of IFRS and relevant work experience.
- Experience in preparing disclosure documents for publicly listed companies.
- Experience in improving accounting systems or accounting processes.
- Experience in team management or project management.
- Desire to work in an English-speaking environment.
