About the Role
Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solutions Architect focused on the public sector, specifically serving research institutions and universities. You will leverage AWS cloud services to help clients solve technical challenges, accelerate research, and transform education. This role involves understanding and proposing system architectures and integrations using the latest technologies, making it an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in academic and research fields.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical leader within account teams, focusing on public sector clients (research institutions/universities) to promote AWS value and propose optimal architectures and technical support.
- Continuously acquire knowledge of general technologies beyond AWS, ensuring you are recognized as an engineer capable of consulting on technical challenges.
- Disseminate the potential of the AWS platform to the broader market through the publication of customer case studies, materials, and presentations at internal and external events.
- Drive improvements and evolution of the AWS platform based on customer feedback.
- Form communities with sales, service development, consulting, support, and partners, leading the team technically and developing technical account strategies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in development, architecture, consulting, or system proposal/construction.
- Proactive in acquiring knowledge of new technologies and services, and embracing new challenges.
- Experience responding to RFIs/RFPs for large-scale projects and creating proposals, or experience creating RFIs/RFPs.
- Experience in a wide range of activities with public sector clients, including technical pre-sales, consultation, requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency.
- Basic ability to read technical documents written in English and basic English writing skills for technical matters.
