Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the RBA’s work to contribute to financial stability.
  • Work closely with your manager to shape your and your teams’ work program.
  • Lead and collaborate on projects.
  • Coach more junior staff as appropriate.
  • Analyze the sources of vulnerability and resilience in the Australian financial system.
  • Analyze the implications of climate change for financial stability.
  • Identify and assess systemic risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop recommendations based on analysis related to the resilience of financial institutions and preparations for crisis conditions.
  • Prepare briefing materials and analysis for the Reserve Bank’s senior executives.
  • Analyze the links between different parts of the financial system.

Requirements

  • Seeking experienced Lead or Senior Analysts.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Aptitude for handling data.
  • High standards in the production of written analysis.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to drive timely delivery and collaboration on projects.
  • An interest in developing leadership skills is valued.
  • Knowledge of how financial institutions operate and prudential regulation is desirable, but not a prerequisite.
  • Hold a degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Possess a strong foundation in economic and/or financial principles.
