About the Role
The Associate Attorney will support and assist in representing clients in state and federal plaintiff's-side wage-and-hour, class, and representative action litigation against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate is a licensed attorney who is organized, professional, eager to learn, and committed to achieving strong outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conducting legal research
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Assisting with deposition preparation and attendance
- Preparing for and appearing at court hearings
- Communicating with clients under the guidance of senior attorneys
Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice law in New York or licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the New York Bar
- 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation
- Experience with discovery in the civil litigation context
- Experience with oral advocacy and appearing in Court
- Experience with motion practice
- Experience taking/defending depositions
- Ability to travel on occasion
