About the Role
VSI is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative passionate about working with people and promoting animal health. This role involves selling VSI vendor products to poultry customers and expanding the territory by prospecting new business. You will offer the best customer experience and provide product explanations or demonstrations.
Responsibilities
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Manage all sales functions for the territory to ensure business growth according to budget and sales goals.
- Make customer sales calls, in-person visits, take orders, collect VSI returns, and problem-solve.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and negotiate skillfully.
- Develop growth strategies with customers to establish appropriate sales goals.
- Collaborate with vendor representatives on product training, promotions, and solution-driven programs.
- Utilize the HubSpot CRM platform daily to document customer interactions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of outside sales experience preferred.
- Work experience in distributor sales, manufacturer sales, customer service, inside sales, or commercial poultry production.
- Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
