About the Role

Manage and develop existing and new products/services, owning customer and colleague journeys. Develop product strategy, drive change, and make key decisions throughout the product lifecycle to achieve positive outcomes for customers, colleagues, and the bank. This role involves managing business as usual operations and overseeing migration to a new technology platform, playing a key role in credit risk decisioning and ensuring effective risk and control management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer-level strategies and solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the applicable Product/Proposition team, guiding stakeholders on product application and journeys.
  • Develop product propositions and/or service strategy, defining priorities and leading execution.
  • Develop commercial and business models by understanding financial drivers of the P&L.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and potential risks of new product development.
  • Monitor market trends and analyze feedback from internal employees and customers to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments, including rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training, and communication.
  • Monitor key metrics such as adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation.
  • Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches.
  • If managing a team: define jobs and responsibilities, plan for future needs, counsel employees on performance, and contribute to pay decisions.
  • If leading specialists: influence department operations in alignment with strategic and tactical priorities, balancing short and long-term goals.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors to create an environment for colleagues to thrive.
  • If an individual contributor: act as a subject matter expert, guide technical direction, lead collaborative assignments, and guide team members.
  • Identify the need for inclusion of other specializations for assignments.
  • Train, guide, and coach less experienced specialists.
  • Provide information affecting long-term profits, organizational risks, and strategic decisions.
  • Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of organization functions to achieve business goals.
  • Collaborate with other work areas for business-aligned support.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
