About the Role
We are searching for a Principal level Systems Architect to help lead Qualcomm in the development of 4G LTE & 5G modems to address the IoT market. Working within a dynamic design team, you will participate in the development of next generation 4G LTE & 5G chipsets in the IoT wireless space.
Responsibilities
- Oversee modem architecture, providing specifications, analysis, and main design choices through interaction with algorithm development, HW design, DSP/embedded SW design, and platform integration teams.
- Contribute to the definition and application of a mature process to guarantee the delivery of solutions as per global Qualcomm quality policy throughout the various teams.
- Ensure the technical definition of the modem meets the product definition set by strategy and marketing teams.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in a similar position.
- Track record of successful ASIC and SoC design.
- Good technical knowledge in DSP/HW/RF/ASIC design.
- Strong expertise in chip architecture and dimensioning, RF/HW/SW partitioning, tradeoff management, and low power design.
- Strong experience working with various teams, including cross-cultural and offshore teams.
- Efficiency, commitment, leadership, charisma, customer focus, autonomy, and ability to interact at all levels within the company.
- Experience in wireless systems, ideally in 4G/5G.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with simulation tools such as VSS, SystemVue, MatLab.
- Knowledge of 4G/5G 3GPP Standards and requirements.
