About the Role
Join our Tech Ops experts to help keep our fleet in tip-top shape. You will manage distribution processing centers for outsourced component parts, implement continuous improvement processes, and supervise warehousing and distribution operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the distribution processing centers for outsourced component parts.
- Participate in the design of automated solutions to decentralize warehousing activities.
- Implement continuous improvement (CI) processes within the distribution and warehousing organization.
- Supervise warehousing and distribution operations, including receiving, binning, shipping, and maintaining serviceable and unserviceable parts.
- Handle hazardous materials, including domestic and international shipping.
- Direct the distribution of all parts, including AOG/AOM shipments.
- Manage the disposition of all surpluses and excess material at their location.
- Maintain accurate bin balances through accurate transactions and physical inventories.
- Apply Lean processes within their warehouse location.
- Manage No Fault Found quarantine and Warranty processes.
- Develop and oversee internal audits related to facilities safety, shelf life, electro static discharge, tooling, and bin maintenance.
- Manage personnel dependability and Time & Attendance systems.
- Conduct Incident/Accident investigations and reporting.
- Oversee the departments training requirements and training schedule.
- Maintain employee records.
- Maintain compliant records required by UAL and governmental agencies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of systems and procedures to optimize the efficient flow of materials.
- Prepare forecasts and monitor performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate staffing and other resource needs, ensuring safety and security requirements are fulfilled.
- Supervise and coordinate the distribution process and business plan for an assigned shift and/or location to accomplish station, division, and corporate goals.
- Coordinate the distribution planning operation to ensure effective integration of station and system distribution plans.
- Promote and facilitate a working environment that fosters improvement and employee team participation.
- Build and maintain a positive rapport with Maintenance Customers and other adjacent departments.
- Serve as a mentor for succession planning to develop front-line employees for advancement opportunities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must obtain Dangerous Goods certification within six months of start date.
- Minimum of two years of work experience in warehousing and distribution, supply chain, or logistics.
- Related aviation operations experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of an interview.
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
