About the Role

Farm Credit East is seeking to expand its lending and credit teams to support customer relationships. This role focuses on building trusted relationships, making a meaningful impact, and supporting the future of agriculture. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day customer relationships within assigned customer segments (Agribusiness or Retail).
  • Perform proactive portfolio management by analyzing industry trends, market data, and customer knowledge to apply a consultative lending approach.
  • Serve as the lead for customer-facing activities, positioning a team approach with support from loan coordinators or financial services.
  • Create and maintain a documented 360-degree view of the customer in the core application to maximize customer experience.
  • Collaborate with teammates to generate cross-selling results and a best-in-class customer experience through a cohesive and holistic approach.
  • Provide functional guidance to credit analysts, loan document specialists, and other roles to ensure customer requirements are met while conforming to credit policy.
  • Monitor borrowers within the assigned loan portfolio to document compliance with terms, conditions, covenants, inspections, credit quality, and risk assessment.
  • Meet with existing and prospective customers to review financials, propose loan structures, evaluate pricing options, and address borrower objectives.
  • Achieve growth targets by performing business development activities to expand existing customer relationships and attract new customers.
  • Seek and vet both traditional and non-traditional opportunities across the agricultural value chain for credit-worthy and eligible entities.
  • Prioritize high value-add interactions with customers through active relationships and sound customer understanding.
  • Promote the FCE brand within the assigned region.
  • Build and nurture Centers of Influence (community presence, network, and external partners) to generate new referrals.
  • Utilize the 360-degree customer view to drive cross-selling opportunities, including identifying, collaborating, generating, or acting upon internal referrals.
  • Develop expertise and working knowledge within Ag segments to serve as a Trusted Advisor.
  • Embrace the transformation of the Association through the adoption and utilization of new processes, procedures, and digital tools to deliver a high-level customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of agriculture, finances, credit, and credit administration.
  • Strong marketing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be team-oriented.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,000 - $130,000
