About the Role
Lead the planning, development, and delivery of major property, construction, and capital works programs across one of Australia's largest health and aged care organizations. Influence strategic decisions at an enterprise level by partnering with executive leaders, CEOs, CFOs, clinical leaders, and government stakeholders to deliver development initiatives that support the future of healthcare and aged care. Oversee projects that enhance healthcare facilities, improve patient outcomes, and support service growth across various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and delivery of major healthcare infrastructure and capital works projects across the national portfolio.
- Drive enterprise project governance, systems, processes, and delivery frameworks.
- Oversee project feasibility, cost planning, design management, and development strategies.
- Manage complex construction, refurbishment, redevelopment, and commissioning programs.
- Ensure projects align with strategic priorities, operational objectives, and healthcare service requirements.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across executive teams, hospital leadership, clinicians, consultants, contractors, and government bodies.
- Provide financial oversight and management of capital expenditure, project budgets, and enterprise programs of work.
- Identify and mitigate project risks relating to cost, quality, safety, delivery, and performance.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to ensure risks are effectively managed and project objectives are achieved.
- Drive value creation through proactive identification of growth opportunities, service improvements, and strategic investments.
Requirements
- Accomplished project and infrastructure leader with a proven track record delivering large-scale property, construction, health infrastructure, or capital works projects in complex stakeholder environments.
- Combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and operational excellence with the ability to navigate competing priorities and deliver outcomes that align with organizational objectives.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
- Recognized for ability to influence stakeholders, solve complex challenges, and drive project success.
- Successfully partnered with Executive Leadership Teams, clinicians, hospital management, consultants, contractors, and government agencies, building trusted relationships.

Education Level
