About the Role
Redwood Materials is localizing a global battery supply chain. This role focuses on sourcing for high-leverage, hard-to-fill positions such as senior engineers, automation leads, and specialized scientific and supply chain roles. You will own the top of the funnel for critical requisitions, partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to build search strategies, conduct outreach, and deliver qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Own search strategy on critical requisitions.
- Run intake meetings with recruiters and hiring managers to define ideal profiles, target companies, and outreach strategies.
- Build market maps for each search, including target companies, organizational structures, and named prospects.
- Set and report on weekly sourcing goals for each requisition.
- Find and engage passive candidates through multi-channel sourcing.
- Write personalized and effective outreach messages.
- Conduct first-touch screens and provide warm candidates with clear summaries to recruiters.
- Log all prospect and touch data in Greenhouse to maintain pipeline visibility.
- Track response and conversion rates by channel and message to adjust strategies.
- Flag requisitions where market feedback suggests issues with profile, compensation, or location, and present data to support discussions.
- Share sourcing strings, market maps, and outreach templates with the team.
- Help calibrate the definition of 'qualified' with hiring managers to improve submittal quality.
Requirements
- Experience sourcing for hard technical and operational roles in manufacturing, hardware, energy, chemicals, automotive, or construction.
- Ability to credibly discuss technical roles with engineers and plant managers.
- Proven track record of hires resulting from direct outreach, not just inbound applicants.
- Experience building market maps before initiating outreach.
- Demonstrated outreach reply rates above the industry average.
- Fluency in Boolean and structured search across LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Proficiency with at least one AI-assisted sourcing tool (e.g., Juicebox, SeekOut, HireEZ).
- Experience working cleanly in Greenhouse and maintaining pipeline data.
- Ability to manage 6-10 critical requisitions concurrently and identify reasons for delays.
- Comfort working across time zones with hiring managers in Nevada and South Carolina.
