Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, focusing on attention to detail
- Follow a food preparation checklist and establish priority items
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food before use
- Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
- Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed guest expectations
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment.
- Maintain strong food safety and property standards
- Organise and maintain assigned section of the kitchen effectively
- Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence with each customer experience
- Assist the team with the preparation and execution of all food and beverage outlet service periods
Requirements
- Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Working rights in Australia
