About the Role

Crusoe's Cloud Engineering organization is expanding rapidly, and this role is critical for building and optimizing the operational machinery to support this growth. You will own the people and operations layer, replacing manual processes with scalable systems to manage headcount, events, programs, and operating rhythms.

Responsibilities

  • Own the headcount plan of record for Cloud Engineering in partnership with the Recruiting team, reconciling data across multiple systems.
  • Manage intake and prioritization for new and backfill requisitions, ensuring pipeline status is current.
  • Partner with Recruiting and Finance on hiring pace and requisition sequencing.
  • Produce and maintain the organizational chart and span-of-control view.
  • Coordinate interview processes, including panel construction and interviewer capacity.
  • Own Cloud Engineering All-Hands coordination, including agenda, speaker strategy, and follow-up.
  • Drive adoption and engagement in engineering tech talks, site-specific all-hands, and org-wide social programming.
  • Own the intern and early-career program for Cloud Engineering, including offers, mentor matching, and performance tracking.
  • Drive adoption of manager training and enablement in partnership with the People team.
  • Build the functional onboarding program for engineers and engineering managers.
  • Partner with HR on engagement and pulse survey cycles and Recruiting MBRs.
  • Own operating programs and planning calendar for the Chief of Staff organization.
  • Produce recurring leadership updates and executive readouts.
  • Automate recurring processes using forms, scripts, or dashboards.
  • Own and maintain Sheets, Docs, Jira, and Confluence artifacts, migrating them to appropriate systems.
  • Build a repeatable playbook for program management.
  • Own the communications and change-management plan for program rollouts.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in program management, business operations, or people operations, including experience supporting a large engineering or infrastructure organization through fast growth.
  • Direct experience owning headcount or workforce planning operations.
  • Proven track record running an all-hands or comparable large-audience program for an organization of 500+.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and automation instinct (Apps Script, APIs, AI-assisted tooling, or equivalent).
  • Ability to precisely communicate needs to senior leaders.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and high-volume work.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Low ego, high drive.
