About the Role
As a Hot Topic Seasonal Key Holder, you will be a key part of the store's success by supporting the leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience. You will leverage your passion for music and pop culture to train new team members, assist with daily operations, and contribute to meeting sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages customer return.
- Offer leadership support and assist in running the store when the Manager is unavailable.
- Drive sales by increasing key KPIs such as Units Per Transaction (UPT) and Average Dollar Transaction (ADT).
- Cover the sales floor zone and maintain visual standards for assigned areas.
- Open and close the store.
- Process sales transactions accurately at the register and drive add-on sales using product knowledge.
- Close out the register and report any shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Assist with planogram changes, including store map, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring for theft.
- Maintain an organized stock room and a tidy store environment.
- Train and coach new Sales Associates to ensure quick acclimation to the team.
- Perform other activities as assigned by the Store Leader.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a retail environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for scheduled hours.
- Capability to reach for merchandise using a ladder, step stool, and pole.
- Ability to move boxes of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
