About the Role
We're building the backend platform that powers survey automation and relationship intelligence for some of the world's largest professional services firms. If you love systems design, API design, and clean backend engineering, read on.
Responsibilities
- Design service boundaries, data models, and REST API contracts.
- Implement event-driven microservices on GCP Pub/Sub.
- Build a webhook-triggered survey automation engine.
- Develop resilient and observable services with built-in retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, structured logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Integrate security and SSO for enterprise clients.
- Develop permission and access control systems.
- Create an integration layer connecting enterprise data sources to our platform.
Requirements
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Understand Java at the JVM level, including concurrency, memory model, garbage collection, and exception hierarchy.
- Demonstrate depth in the Spring Boot/Spring ecosystem or a strong understanding of dependency injection and IoC from another framework.
- Possess SQL and data modeling confidence, including writing complex queries and understanding indexing and N+1 problems.
- Exhibit strong API design instincts, considering versioning, error semantics, and idempotency.
- Demonstrate systems thinking under failure, considering retries, timeouts, idempotency, and consistency.
- Experience building systems that handle real load where correctness and reliability were actual constraints.
