About the Role
The Marketing Manager, Community & Events supports the planning and execution of integrated marketing initiatives to strengthen member engagement, increase participation in programs, and drive event registration and membership growth. This role has day-to-day marketing responsibility for a portfolio of PCMA member programs, events, and the PCMA Foundation, translating program priorities into coordinated campaigns across multiple channels. It is ideal for a hands-on marketer who is highly organized, audience-focused, and skilled at managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support integrated marketing plans for assigned community programs and experiences.
- Coordinate audience segmentation, campaign scheduling, creative requests, web updates, and channel execution.
- Ensure marketing activities are delivered on schedule and aligned with PCMA brand standards.
- Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, website, social media, community, content, partner, and other channels.
- Develop and coordinate campaign briefs, copy, messaging, and supporting assets.
- Maintain campaign calendars, project plans, deadlines, approvals, and asset requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance on marketing communications before deployment.
- Support integrated marketing campaigns for PCMA’s marquee events.
- Support membership acquisition campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to cross-promote membership, community programs, and events.
- Support on-site marketing and member engagement activities at assigned PCMA events.
- Execute targeted communications for audience acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and advocacy.
- Help develop communication journeys for various audiences.
- Use audience data and engagement insights to support campaign optimization.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure marketing communications reinforce PCMA participation value.
- Serve as the day-to-day marketing contact for assigned programs.
- Collaborate with Digital Experience and MarTech teams on technical aspects of campaigns.
- Partner with Content and Social Media teams to extend program stories.
- Coordinate with Business Development to support sponsor and partner visibility.
- Build productive working relationships across various PCMA teams.
- Monitor campaign performance, engagement, registrations, conversions, and KPIs.
- Partner with Marketing Intelligence to translate performance data into actionable improvements.
- Conduct post-campaign and post-event reviews to capture learnings.
- Support testing and optimization of campaign elements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Represent PCMA professionally.
- Participate in organizational initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Travel to assigned events as needed to support marketing execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in integrated marketing, event marketing, membership marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to develop clear, audience-focused marketing communications.
- Working knowledge of email marketing, websites/CMS platforms, CRM or marketing automation systems, social media, and digital campaign practices.
- Comfort working with marketing analytics and using performance data to improve campaign execution.
- Strong project management, organizational, attention-to-detail, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using AI-enabled marketing tools to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience working within associations, membership organizations, events, foundations/nonprofits, or B2B environments preferred.
- Willingness to travel as business needs require.
- Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing work.
- Ability to walk for extended periods during conferences and events.
- Ability to lift and transport materials up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to travel by air and ground transportation as required.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed during event execution.
