About the Role
Join our culinary team in a leadership role where you’ll help deliver high-quality, consistently prepared food while maintaining strong standards for safety, sanitation, and efficiency. You’ll support daily kitchen operations, train and guide team members, manage production and inventory practices, and help create an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Attempts to control food costs; throw away, etc.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of sanitation procedures and consistently applies such.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of food temperatures and consistently applies knowledge.
- Understands the importance of proper food handling procedures and ensures that procedures are always followed.
- Continually demonstrates the ability to produce food orders in a timely, neat and organized manner according to the needs of the guest.
- Familiar with all product/inventory in freezers and coolers, and ensures that all product/inventory are properly rotated to maintain freshness.
- Continually demonstrates a lead role with training new employees and/or with demonstrating proper culinary techniques.
- Ensures approved methods of product preparation to ensure consistency as well as quality. Offers recommendation(s) for improving methods of product preparation and recipe development.
- Ensures that all daily production schedules are accurate and completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Oversees and ensures that all outlet opening procedures are consistently followed.
- Maintains frequent communication with all work areas to ensure efficiency, performance standards and superior guest service while conveying pertinent information/policy changes.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- An Associate’s degree in a related field or a culinary degree preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years related experience.
- The ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
- To be able to work in environments with extreme temperatures ranging from 0 to 110 degrees and high noise levels.
- The ability to be safety oriented.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi task.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 71 - 80 pounds.
