About the Role
GFL is seeking experienced Industrial Operators for shutdown projects across British Columbia and Alberta. This role reports to the Seasonal Workforce Group and is crucial for ensuring projects are completed safely and on schedule. The position offers seasonal employment starting in the Fall, with potential for extensions.
Responsibilities
- Operate various trucks including vacuum trucks, hydro-vacs, Combo units, Steamers, Chemical cleaning trucks, and High-Pressure water blasting pumps and tooling.
- Utilize ELD system (Geotab) and comply with HOS regulations.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning of all equipment and tooling.
- Participate in job site preparation, including rigging in/out of equipment.
Requirements
- Class 1 or 3 driver's license with an acceptable commercial 5-year driver's abstract.
- Proficient in driving manual transmission.
- Willing and able to travel.
- Eager to learn new skills.
- Able to take direction and work effectively as part of a team.
- Capable of working in a team and adapting to new working environments.
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
- Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.
