About the Role
Claude is utilized across various government sectors, including federal civilian agencies, national security, state and local governments, and allied international governments. Delivering Claude to these segments requires establishing compliant infrastructure with cloud partners, deploying new models in restricted environments, achieving parity with commercial applications, and clearing frameworks like FedRAMP. This role will own the program for delivering these capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Own the program for delivering new Claude models into public sector environments, managing sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs across research, inference, capacity, cloud partners, safeguards, and compliance teams.
- Drive FedRAMP and similar authorization programs for Anthropic's public sector offerings, collaborating with privacy, security, compliance, and platform engineering.
- Plan and sequence work across public sector segments, covering model and API availability, application parity, and segment-specific product work.
- Represent public sector requirements in model launch planning alongside launch TPMs.
- Establish an operating rhythm with a unified view of workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, and status, including planning, escalation paths, and launch coordination across organizations.
- Convert recurring efforts into documented, repeatable processes to minimize bespoke coordination for new segments or models.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in technical program management with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs.
- Experience shipping software or infrastructure into regulated or restricted environments (government clouds, air-gapped deployments, FedRAMP or similar authorization frameworks).
- Experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams and organizations, including research, security, and compliance partners.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively across distributed teams.
- Ability to thrive in unstructured environments and create clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Experience with public sector, defense, or government cloud programs is preferred.
- Hold or be eligible for a US security clearance is preferred.
- Passionate about Anthropic's mission and the challenges of safely and reliably bringing AI capabilities to public institutions.
- Must be a US person due to agreements with the US Government.
