About the Role
The Head of EDI will provide strategic leadership and expert advice on equity, diversity, and inclusion across the University, supporting the Assistant Vice-President (EDI). They will lead the Office for Institutional Equity & Inclusion and its outputs, ensure legal and best-practice compliance, and drive priorities and plans that deliver the University’s EDI commitments while championing an inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and expert advice on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Support the Assistant Vice-President (EDI).
- Lead the Office for Institutional Equity & Inclusion and its outputs.
- Ensure legal and best-practice compliance.
- Drive priorities and plans that deliver the University’s EDI commitments.
- Champion an inclusive culture.
Requirements
- Experience working at a senior level in an EDI role in Higher Education or another large, complex organization.
- Experience leading the strategic direction of an organization’s EDI activities.
- Experience leading a high-performing EDI team.
- Experience translating EDI strategy into operational practice.
- Experience managing multiple institutional projects through effective prioritization and project management.
